New Glasses

You may have notice that Truman got new glasses. New glasses are sort of a commitment and (if you're Truman) you need to try on hundreds before you pick just the right pair. The problem, or course, with getting new glasses is that you must take the old (functional) ones off first. Which means you can't see.

Enter camera phone to save the day!

Truman tried on a pair, I took a picture. Truman tried on a pair, I took a picture. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Two Costcos and two Kaiser trips later and he is the proud owner of a new very classic pair of raybans.

The pictures are fantastically entertaining. Enjoy.

  1. Great idea taking pictures. It is super difficult to select frames when you cannot see the frames on your face very well.

Another Tip: lay the frames down on a horizontal surface to see if you can find them when you aren't wearing corrective lenses.

  3. I have not laughed this hard in ages. As painful as that process must have been, I would have loved to have been another customer in those stores as the camera repeatedly flashed. And then i would have loved to have been there as Truman intently analyzed each pic back at home wondering:
    - Do I look intelligent but not arrogant?
    - Do I look sophisticated but not old?
    - What are people going to think when they see me wearing these? You know, you only have one chance for a first impression...

I cannot thank you enough for sharing this experience. Made my week.
